Front of House - Summer Scooper

Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Outgoing, friendly, and positive personality with a passion for community

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers.

  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to clean and maintain an organized space.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 12.5kg and perform repetitive movements.

  • Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, be reliable and punctual.

  • Flexibility to work daytime, evenings and weekends.



  • Previous cash handling experience

  • Previous customer service experience.

  • Foodsafe certification is a strong asset, not a requirement

Job Description: 
This position with Market 1750 is one of the most important. You are the friendly face each customer sees when they walk in the door. Your friendly customer service is essential, along with scooping ice cream and handling payment. You are also responsible for the cleanliness, and appearance of the premises.

Job Duties:

  • Provide efficient, welcoming and friendly customer service.

  • Scoop ice cream and serve other menu items with care.

  • Provide product knowledge, with the ability to explain specific product details.

  • Prepare orders correctly & within company guidelines.

  • Take orders, accept & process payments (both cash, debit/credit), and provide correct change.

  • Restock ice cream and supplies as necessary.

  • Assist with light kitchen jobs as needed (dishes, stamping, and packaging products)

  • General cleaning (mopping floors, Keeping counters clean etc.)

  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Types: Seasonal
Hours: 8-40 per week
Salary: $17.40 - $18.00 per hour
